Our best work.
Fiberglass damage, dock rash and cracked gelcoat deserve a repair that belongs on the boat. Gulf Coast restores the damaged area from the underlying fiberglass through the final color and finish.

Fiberglass. Color. Contour. Finish.
The quality of a yacht repair is in the details: sound material beneath the finish, a restored profile and gelcoat that sits naturally beside the original surface.

A deck repair has two finish conditions to resolve: the walking surface and the smooth gelcoat around it. This project shows the prepared area and the completed non-skid surface.

Completed in Palmetto, Florida. The repair sequence follows the tender’s damaged corner through preparation to the finished gelcoat. Corners and edges need their original profile restored as well as their color.

The surrounding gelcoat is our reference. Color, undertone and gloss are assessed against the existing finish in daylight, so the repair fits the boat as it is today.

The objective is a sound repair with a finish that belongs on the yacht. We assess the damaged area, the material beneath it and the surrounding surface before recommending the repair scope.

At the dock. On the boat.
A yacht repair starts with more than the damaged surface. Berth access, neighboring finishes, working height and the owner’s schedule all affect how the job is planned.
Send the yacht’s location with close-ups and a wider view. We’ll review the damaged area, the access it needs and whether the work can be completed dockside or requires yard access.

A clear scope. A clear point of contact.
Whether you are preparing for an owner’s arrival, addressing damage between trips or organizing repairs ahead of a sale, the scope needs to be clear before work begins.
Share your target date with the initial inquiry. Access, repair extent and finish requirements determine the schedule; we discuss those details before a work date is agreed.
Send the Project Details ↗Show the damage close up and in context. Identify gelcoat or paint, previous repair areas and anything known about the impact.
Confirm the yacht’s location, dockside or haul-out access, site permissions and the owner, captain or manager authorizing the repair.
Discuss the repair boundaries, surrounding condition and intended result. Broader restoration and localized damage repair are different scopes.

Many accessible localized repairs can be assessed for dockside service. The repair location, safe access, weather, containment and marina rules determine whether the work can proceed afloat. Underwater damage or inaccessible hull areas may require haul-out. Send a wider photo showing the working position along with damage close-ups.
Color matching starts with the surrounding finish as it exists today. Age, oxidation and previous repairs can change its appearance. We assess color, gloss and texture together and discuss whether localized repair or a broader finish-restoration area is appropriate.
Tell us whether the surface is gelcoat or a marine paint system, if known. These finishes need different repair methods. We review the coating and the extent of damage before proposing the scope; gelcoat should not be assumed to be the right repair material for a painted surface.
Yes. Owners, captains and managers can send the repair information and act as the point of contact. Include access instructions, marina or yard requirements, the person authorizing the work, and any departure or survey date so the scope and schedule can be discussed together.

Send the yacht make and length, location, close-up damage photos and a wider view of the surrounding area. Include the finish type if known, whether the yacht is afloat or hauled out, and your preferred timing. Photos support an initial assessment; concealed damage may require inspection before the final scope is established.
